Manuel trabaja en la oficina del campamento maderero de Los Lirios y se encarga de ir a hacer los mandados al pueblo. Un día, de regreso, se encuentra con Efraín en la orilla del sendero, sin saber lo que les espera a su llegada.

Manuel works in the office of the Los Lirios logging camp and is in charge of going to town to run errands. One day, on his way back, Manuel meets Efraín at the edge of the path, unaware of what awaits them upon their arrival.
